We are seeking a Lead Night Shift Sanitation professional for a direct hire opportunity in Oxnard, CA. This role is ideal for an experienced bilingual English and Spanish sanitation leader who is ready to take the next step in a food manufacturing or food processing environment.
The Lead Night Shift Sanitation Supervisor will guide a sanitation team in a modern, state-of-the-art production facility, ensuring equipment, work areas, and sanitation programs meet food safety, GMP, OSHA, and company standards. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate nightly sanitation activities for production equipment, processing areas, and facility spaces.
- Coach, train, and mentor sanitation team members to support safety, quality, and performance standards.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, GMP, OSHA, chemical handling, LOTO, and company procedures.
- Conduct sanitation inspections, identify deficiencies, and drive timely corrective actions.
- Maintain sanitation schedules, documentation, records, and compliance reporting.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement across the sanitation team.
Compensation and Benefits
- Direct hire opportunity.
- Pay range: $33 to $36 per hour plus discretionary bonus.
- Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM, Monday through Friday.
- Overtime: Some Saturdays may be required.
- Location: Oxnard, CA.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Lead daily sanitation operations for food production equipment and facility areas.
- Manage sanitation team performance, training, schedules, and accountability.
- Support food safety compliance through inspections, documentation, and corrective actions.
- Maintain safe work practices related to sanitation chemicals, equipment cleaning, and LOTO procedures.
- Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills are required.
- 5 or more years of sanitation experience in food manufacturing, food processing, produce packing, beverage, dairy, or a related environment.
- Previous supervisory, lead, or team leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of food safety programs, sanitation procedures, GMPs, OSHA requirements, chemical handling, and lockout tagout practices.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer systems.
- Ability to work a permanent night shift schedule.
- Strong leadership, communication, coaching, problem-solving, and follow-through skills.
- Ability to promote safety, teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced production setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a high-volume or state-of-the-art food processing facility.
- Experience supporting sanitation audits, corrective action programs, or compliance inspections.
- Familiarity with sanitation documentation systems, master sanitation schedules, and continuous improvement practices.
- Background in produce, fresh food, beverage, dairy, or other highly regulated food production environments.
