Lead Medical Assistant

We are partnered with a busy, patient-centered medical practice seeking a Medical Assistant / Clinical Support Specialist for a Temp-to-Perm opportunity. This role supports daily clinic operations, patient flow, and clinical coordination across multiple locations. Lead experience is a must and bilingual English/Spanish is pereferred

Schedule:
Monday – Friday
Hours typically 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with clinics occasionally running until 6:00 PM or later - Overtime is paid

Responsibilities
Check out patients by creating orders for labs, diagnostic studies, and procedures
Process referrals, patient consent forms, and prior authorizations (medications, therapies, and testing)
Triage phone calls and voicemails; follow up on test results
Contact patients and outside facilities to obtain missing results
Room patients as needed: take vitals, update medical history, medications, and review of systems in the EMR
Maintain efficient clinic flow while delivering courteous, empathetic patient care
Travel
Travel to satellite clinics 1–2 times per week as needed
Locations include: Sand Lake, Kissimmee, Oviedo, Lake Mary, Clermont, and Horizon West/Windermere
Travel schedules provided in advance upon permanent conversion

Qualifications
Prior experience in a medical office or clinical setting preferred
Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating clinic hours
Strong EMR documentation and multitasking skills
Reliable, adaptable, and detail-oriented
Patient-focused with a strong customer service mindset
