Key Responsibilities

- Prepare complete and accurate estimates for commercial fire sprinkler and fire suppression systems.
- Review plans, specifications, bid documents, and addenda to perform detailed material and labor takeoffs.
- Develop competitive pricing strategies while supporting project profitability and operational success.
- Collaborate with project managers, designers, field leadership, and operations teams during preconstruction and project handoff.
- Participate in job walks, client meetings, proposal reviews, and presentations as needed.
- Support change orders, value engineering, scope reviews, and estimating best practices in accordance with NFPA standards.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $110,000 to $130,000 per year, depending on experience.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Lead estimating efforts for commercial fire sprinkler and suppression system projects.
- Prepare detailed takeoffs, cost estimates, and proposal packages for new construction, tenant improvement, retrofit, and service work.
- Coordinate with design, project management, and operations teams to support accurate bids and smooth project transitions.
- Review project documents and estimate work in alignment with NFPA standards and industry best practices.

- 5+ years of fire sprinkler estimating experience required, with senior-level experience suited for a lead estimator role.
- Strong knowledge of NFPA 13, NFPA 13R, NFPA 13D, and related fire protection codes.
- Experience estimating commercial fire sprinkler systems for construction, retrofit, tenant improvement, and service projects.
- Proficiency with tools such as Bluebeam, AutoCAD, SprinkCAD, Procore, Excel, or similar estimating and construction software.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and bid documents.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with general contractors, owners, developers, and internal teams.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple estimates, deadlines, and priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience estimating mission-critical facilities, data centers, clean agent systems, or clean air suppression systems.
- Background working with negotiated work, repeat clients, and design-assist or value engineering opportunities.
- Experience supporting high-value commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, or technology projects.
- Ability to mentor or provide guidance to other estimating team members.
