Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Lead Accountant for a direct hire opportunity in San Juan, PR within the food and beverage production industry. The Lead Accountant will provide guidance to accounting staff, ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls, and support the department with reporting and analysis. Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and provide guidance to assigned accounting personnel to support daily accounting operations.
- Ensure accounting processes are accurate, consistent, and compliant with established policies and procedures.
- Monitor internal controls and support compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and accounting standards.
- Prepare, review, and analyze daily, weekly, monthly, and other required accounting reports.
- Support accounting-related analysis, reconciliations, and department initiatives as assigned.
- Perform other responsibilities related to the full accounting cycle and departmental operations.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $55,000 to $65,000 per year.
- Job type: Direct hire.
- Location: San Juan, PR.



Required Qualifications and Skills

- Lead and coordinate daily accounting functions for the department.
- Supervise accounting staff and support team performance, accuracy, and workflow.
- Prepare and analyze accounting reports to support financial accuracy and business decisions.
- Monitor compliance with accounting policies, procedures, internal controls, and applicable regulations.

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, preferably with a concentration in Accounting.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Previous experience working with the full accounting cycle.
- Previous experience supervising employees and managing a team.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Ability to prepare, analyze, and interpret accounting reports.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while effectively leading and coordinating a team.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in food and beverage production, manufacturing, distribution, or a similar operational industry.
- Prior experience in an accounting supervisor, senior accountant, or lead accountant role.
- Strong working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and compliance-focused accounting environments.
