Fiber Laser Operator
Pay: $26 – $28 per hour
Shift: 1st Shift, Monday – Friday, 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Fiber Laser Operator to operate laser cutting machines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role requires strong technical ability, attention to detail, and a focus on producing high-quality parts. The ideal candidate has experience with sheet metal fabrication, blueprint reading, and CNC laser equipment.

Responsibilities

Operate Amada and Bystronic fiber laser machines and program machines as required
Troubleshoot and resolve machine malfunctions quickly and efficiently
Work from work orders, samples, drawings, and verbal/written instructions
Monitor product quality to ensure compliance with specifications and standards
Load and operate automatic feeders
Identify parts requiring inspection as part of the quality control process
Update job travelers and enter data into ERP systems as required
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment


Physical Requirements

Lift up to 50 lbs as needed
Push up to 25–40 lbs when required
Carry up to 25 lbs (short distances)
Stand for extended periods (approximately 70% of shift)
Walk approximately 10% of the time
Kneel, bend, and squat as needed (approximately 20%)


Skills & Experience


Experience with ERP systems
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to evaluate and maintain high-quality workmanship
Problem-solving abilities


Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED
Proficiency with precision measuring tools (micrometers, dial indicators, depth gauges)
Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes
Ability to clearly communicate processes and resolve issues in a team environment
Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks
Reliable attendance and flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed
Experience in high- and low-volume production environments
