URGENT DIRECT HIRE – Laser Operator | 13 Openings
Santa Ana, CA
$26–$28/hour (DOE)
Overview
We are actively hiring 13 experienced Laser Operators for a high-demand manufacturing facility in Santa Ana, CA. Due to increased production, this team is ramping up quickly and needs skilled operators with recent, hands-on experience who can contribute immediately.
Important: This is not an entry-level role. Candidates must have current, relevant experience and be able to work independently with minimal training.
Schedule
Monday–Friday: 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM
Overtime may include:
Early start at 4:00 AM
Extended hours
Saturdays
Key Responsibilities
Operate and program fiber laser machines (Amada, Bystronic preferred)
Set up machines and adjust parameters to meet production specifications
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders
Load materials and operate automatic feeders
Monitor product quality to ensure compliance with standards
Troubleshoot machine issues and resolve production problems efficiently
Lead or support laser operator team and assist with work assignments (as needed)
Perform inspections using measuring tools (micrometers, gauges, etc.)
Maintain accurate production records and update job travelers
Keep work area clean, organized, and safe
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Recent laser operator experience in manufacturing required
Experience with Amada or Bystronic fiber lasers preferred
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Proficiency with precision measuring instruments
Experience working in a high/low production environment
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
Prior lead or team coordination experience is a strong plus
Requirements
Must meet ITAR compliance (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident)
Must pass background check and drug screen
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as required
Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive motions
Willingness to work overtime, early shifts, and weekends as needed
Proven reliability and strong attendance record
Preferred
Bilingual Spanish (highly preferred, not required)
Experience with ERP systems
Prior leadership or team lead experience
