Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Landscape Irrigation Technician for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Fort Collins, CO. This role is ideal for a skilled irrigation professional with hands-on sprinkler system experience and the ability to work with newer, technology-driven irrigation systems.
The Landscape Irrigation Technician will support installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems in residential or commercial environments. Key Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain sprinkler and irrigation systems.
- Diagnose system issues involving valves, heads, controllers, wiring, pressure, leaks, and coverage.
- Work with traditional and advanced irrigation technology, including smart controllers and system programming.
- Perform field service work for residential, commercial, or mixed-use irrigation projects.
- Communicate clearly with supervisors, team members, and customers regarding service needs and job status.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and professional work area while completing quality work on schedule.
Compensation and Benefits
- Job Type: Temp-to-Hire.
- Location: Fort Collins, CO.
- Compensation: $54,080 to $74,880 per year.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Perform irrigation system installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Service sprinkler systems in residential, commercial, or similar field environments.
- Work with advanced irrigation technology, smart controllers, and updated system components.
- 3 to 5 years of landscape irrigation, sprinkler system, or related field service experience.
- Strong knowledge of irrigation systems, sprinkler heads, valves, controllers, piping, wiring, and water flow.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve irrigation system performance issues.
- Comfortable using modern tools, equipment, and technology related to irrigation service.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physical field work.
- Strong attention to detail, dependability, and commitment to safe work practices.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a crew.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with both commercial and residential irrigation systems.
- Familiarity with smart irrigation controllers, weather-based systems, and newer irrigation technology.
- Previous temp-to-hire or long-term field service experience in landscaping, construction, or skilled trades.
- Strong customer service skills when working on occupied residential or commercial properties.
