Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to support operations in a pilot-scale laboratory environment. This role involves working with mechanical processing equipment, conducting quality evaluations, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, self-motivated, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
Operate lab pilot-scale equipment including mixers, pumps, tanks, and high-speed mechanical processing systems according to trial plans and procedures
Perform physical and visual quality inspections with a strong attention to detail
Review process control data and assist in report generation and process optimization
Communicate trial results and findings effectively to coordinators and team members
Utilize troubleshooting skills to identify issues and implement corrective actions
Maintain a safe and organized work environment while handling chemicals and equipment
Qualifications
5+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing, process lab, or research facility environment
Mechanical aptitude and experience with chemical handling preferred
Experience operating a motorized pallet jack is a plus
Ability to work independently with limited supervision
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel for data tracking and reporting
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move heavy items with assistance when needed
