Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Laboratory Manufacturing Technician for a temp-to-hire opportunity in De Soto, KS. This role supports scientific and technical production within a biotechnology and pharmaceutical manufacturing environment, with a focus on aseptic antigen processing used in final vaccine production.
The Laboratory Manufacturing Technician will work as part of a collaborative manufacturing team responsible for equipment preparation, sterilization, media preparation, fermentation support, downstream processing, cleaning, documentation, and material readiness. Key Responsibilities
- Perform set up, cleaning, sterilization, and preparation of large-scale manufacturing equipment used in antigen production.
- Support upstream and downstream processing activities for bacterial antigens, including labor-intensive M Hyo. antigen processing.
- Follow aseptic processing procedures to maintain sterility and prevent outside contamination during production activities.
- Complete batch documentation, production records, and related paperwork according to Good Documentation Practices and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Assist with warehouse organization, general housekeeping, material preparation, and other team production support activities as needed.
- Execute daily tasks according to production schedules, team lead direction, safety standards, and quality requirements.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Perform aseptic set up, cleaning, sterilization, and processing activities for antigen manufacturing.
- Support upstream and downstream production processes in a regulated biotechnology or pharmaceutical environment.
- Complete accurate production documentation using Good Documentation Practices.
- Maintain clean, organized, and compliant work areas while supporting team production goals.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 to 3 years of relevant manufacturing experience required.
- Analytical, scientific, and mechanical troubleshooting skills required.
- Comprehensive understanding of aseptic processing in daily activities required.
- Comprehensive understanding of Good Documentation Practices and Standard Operating Procedures required.
- Basic awareness of quality improvement tools and MPS processes required.
- Understanding and awareness of USDA regulations required.
- Good written and verbal communication skills required.
- Good computer skills required.
- Strict attention to detail, safety, and error-free execution required.
- Ability to lift 25 pounds on an intermittent basis required.
- Must be able to work in an aseptic lab production area that requires no jewelry, no makeup, and no product on nails or lashes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology or a related science field preferred.
- Prior experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, vaccine, antigen, fermentation, or sterile manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience with upstream processing, downstream processing, media preparation, or large-scale equipment sterilization preferred.
