This position includes a commute stipend for on-site work (4 days per week).
A large and well-established organization is seeking an experienced Labor & Employee Relations Representative to provide expert guidance on complex labor and employee relations issues. This role partners with leadership, HR, and union representatives to resolve workplace matters, interpret collective bargaining agreements, and ensure compliance with employment laws and organizational policies.
Hybrid schedule: 4 days on-site.
Key Responsibilities
Advise managers and HR on labor relations, employee relations, and employment law matters
Interpret and apply collective bargaining agreements and organizational policies
Represent the organization in labor negotiations, grievances, and arbitration
Investigate employee/union complaints and recommend solutions
Draft settlement agreements and ensure compliance
Build strong relationships with leaders, employees, and union partners
Mentor and support other labor relations professionals
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Labor Relations, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
6+ years experience in labor and employee relations
Strong knowledge of labor law, collective bargaining, and ER practices
Excellent communication, analytical, and negotiation skills
Ability to manage sensitive, complex issues in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
Experience in public sector or higher education labor relations
