A large and well-established organization is seeking an experienced Labor Relations Representative to join its Human Resources team. to provide expert guidance on complex labor and employee relations matters. This role partners with leaders, HR professionals, and union representatives to resolve workplace issues, interpret collective bargaining agreements, and ensure compliance with employment laws and organizational policies.

This position plays a key role in labor negotiations, grievance handling, and advising leadership on employee relations strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Advise managers and HR professionals on complex labor relations, employee relations, and employment law issues.

Interpret and administer collective bargaining agreements and organizational policies.

Represent the organization in labor negotiations, grievance proceedings, and arbitrations.

Investigate employee and union complaints and recommend appropriate resolutions.

Negotiate and draft settlement agreements and monitor compliance.

Collaborate with leadership, HR teams, and union representatives to resolve sensitive workplace issues.

Provide guidance and mentorship to other labor relations professionals.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).

6+ years of experience in labor and employee relations or a related field.

Strong knowledge of labor law, collective bargaining, and employee relations practices.

Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.

Ability to manage complex workplace issues and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

Experience in public sector or higher education labor relations.
