Job Summary
A well-established, member-focused financial institution in Oxnard, CA is seeking a LICENSED Wealth Advisor for a direct hire opportunity.
The Licensed Wealth Advisor will work closely with supportive wealth management leadership in a positive, collaborative environment that values integrity, service, empathy, ownership, and community impact. This is a strong opportunity for a junior to mid-level advisor with the right licenses and consultative approach, or a more experienced advisor who brings a strong relationship-building mindset and cultural fit.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet with members to assess financial needs, identify goals, and provide sound financial education, counseling, and recommendations.
- Recommend, open, and service investment advisory accounts when appropriate and properly licensed.
- Conduct periodic and annual account reviews to evaluate progress toward members’ financial objectives.
- Partner with wealth management leadership to develop and execute business development plans that grow the local market.
- Generate new client prospects through outbound calls, member referrals, seminars, networking events, branch partnerships, and local community involvement.
- Provide training to branch employees and conduct educational seminars on investment and financial planning topics.
Compensation and Benefits
- Direct hire opportunity.
- Salary range: $65,000 to $90,000 per year, depending on experience.
- Bonus structure included.
- Location: Oxnard, CA.
- Schedule: 40-hour workweek with occasional overtime as needed.
- Occasional meetings before or after scheduled hours may be required.
- Occasional travel may be required for one-day seminars or conferences.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Provide consultative financial guidance to members and help them identify strategies aligned with their goals.
- Open and service investment advisory accounts in compliance with licensing and regulatory requirements.
- Build client relationships through outreach, referrals, branch collaboration, seminars, and local networking.
- Support business development efforts alongside wealth management leadership.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 1 year of previous consultative client experience as a Wealth Advisor, Financial Advisor, or similar financial services professional.
- Active FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 licenses in good standing required.
- State Life, Accident, and Health license required.
- Equivalent licensing combinations may include SIE, Series 7, Series 63 and Series 65, or SIE, Series 7 and Series 66.
- Strong understanding of basic financial concepts, including budgeting, cash flow, personal balance sheets, emergency funds, insurance, and investments.
- Ability to communicate financial planning concepts clearly to members at varying levels of financial knowledge.
- Knowledge of applicable federal and state regulations related to investments, financial planning, banking, insurance, BSA, AML, and OFAC requirements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, internet research, and general business technology.
- Strong interpersonal, listening, organization, time management, follow-up, and relationship-building skills.
- Results-oriented approach with strong attention to detail, accuracy, professionalism, and service quality.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and remain open to coaching and feedback.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Financial Planner, CFP designation.
- Chartered Financial Analyst, CFA designation.
- Chartered Financial Consultant, ChFC designation.
- Existing book of business for senior-level candidates.
- Credit union, banking, consumer lending, or member-focused financial services experience.
- Experience hosting financial education seminars, networking events, or community-based business development activities.
