Key Responsibilities

- Supervise daily kitting, materials handling, and component staging activities to support assembly and production schedules.
- Coordinate with production, inventory control, purchasing, and quality teams to ensure materials are available, accurate, and properly documented.
- Monitor inventory accuracy, kit completeness, material movement, and issue resolution to reduce delays and support on-time production.
- Train, coach, and guide team members on standard work practices, safety expectations, quality procedures, and productivity goals.
- Support cycle counts, material transactions, shortage tracking, and process improvements within the materials function.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work area aligned with aerospace and defense manufacturing standards.

Compensation and Benefits

- Compensation: $56,000 to $58,000 per year.
- Employment type: Direct hire.



Required Qualifications and Skills

- Supervise kitting and materials support activities for assembly operations.
- Coordinate material staging, kit accuracy, and production readiness.
- Support inventory accuracy, shortage resolution, and material flow improvements.
- Lead daily team activities while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards.

- 3-5 years of experience in materials, kitting, inventory control, production support, or a related manufacturing operations role.
- Experience supporting assembly, production, or manufacturing environments.
- Ability to lead, coach, and coordinate the work of a team in a fast-paced operational setting.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to verify part numbers, quantities, documentation, and kit completeness.
- Working knowledge of inventory transactions, cycle counts, material flow, and shortage tracking.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams including production, quality, planning, and purchasing.
- Commitment to safety, quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with ERP or MRP systems used for inventory, work orders, and material transactions.
- Previous supervisory or lead experience in kitting, stockroom, warehouse, or production materials functions.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement practices.
