Job Title: Junior Estimator
Pay Range: $25.00 – $28.00/hour

Location: 100% ONSITE LOCAL BAKERSFIELD COMPANY
Reports To: Estimating Manager / Project Manager
Position Summary:
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Estimator to join their team. The ideal candidate will assist in preparing accurate cost estimates for construction and service projects, ensuring competitive and profitable bids. This role is perfect for someone looking to grow their career in estimating and project management within a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Review project plans, specifications, and related documents to prepare cost estimates.
Perform quantity take-offs and cost analysis for labor, materials, and equipment.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather pricing and scope details.
Assist in preparing bid packages and proposals.
Maintain and update cost databases and historical data.
Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed.
Track and analyze project costs and provide variance reports.
Support senior estimators in large-scale project bids.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.
1–2 years of experience in estimating or construction-related roles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Familiarity with estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, ProEst, PlanSwift) is a plus.
Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
