We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant for a Temp-to-Hire opportunity in San Juan, PR. This role is ideal for an entry-level accounting professional with 1 to 2 years of experience who is ready to build a long-term career in accounting and finance.
The Junior Accountant will support daily financial transactions, account reconciliations, reporting, record maintenance, and compliance with accounting procedures. Key Responsibilities
- Process incoming and outgoing accounting transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Verify, sort, calculate, post, and record financial data for daily accounting activity.
- Assist with account and bank reconciliations by gathering, reviewing, and balancing information.
- Prepare invoices, bank deposits, financial reports, and account status updates.
- Maintain organized financial records and ensure proper classification, retention, and confidentiality.
- Support management requests, special reports, and special projects as needed.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $14.50 to $15.00 per hour.
- Job Type: Temp-to-Hire.
- Location: San Juan, PR.
- Process daily accounting transactions, including posting, recording, and verifying financial data.
- Support reconciliations for general ledger, subsidiary accounts, and bank accounts.
- Prepare invoices, deposits, financial reports, and account documentation.
- Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with company policies and financial requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1 to 2 years of accounting or finance experience.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Strong data entry skills and comfort working with numbers and financial records.
- Experience using spreadsheets and accounting software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly detail-oriented with proven accuracy in calculations, posting, and recordkeeping.
- Ability to identify discrepancies, review data, and support problem resolution.
- Customer service mindset with the ability to communicate professionally with clients and internal teams.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow established financial policies and procedures.
