A growing organization in the industrial construction, facilities, and infrastructure sector is seeking a Jr Accountant for a contract/temporary opportunity in Cypress, CA. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with 3-5 years of experience who is comfortable handling high-volume reconciliations, fixed asset accounting, and ERP-based financial processes.
The Jr Accountant will support daily accounting operations in a fast-paced corporate accounting environment. This opportunity offers the chance to contribute to an established finance team, work with experienced accounting leadership, and build valuable experience in an industry known for stability, operational complexity, and project-driven accounting needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and research discrepancies in a timely and accurate manner.
- Complete credit card reconciliations and ensure supporting documentation is properly maintained.
- Assist with fixed asset accounting, including tracking, recording, and reconciling asset activity.
- Use ERP systems to enter, review, and reconcile accounting transactions.
- Support month-end close activities by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and account analysis.
- Partner with accounting team members to resolve issues and maintain accurate financial records.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay range: $25.00 to $30.00 per hour.
- Job type: Contract/Temporary.
- Location: Cypress, CA.

- Use ERP systems for accounting transactions and reporting.
- 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in corporate accounting.
- Experience with fixed assets is required.
- Strong bank reconciliation and credit card reconciliation experience.
- ERP system experience is required.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through.
- Ability to manage daily deadlines and work effectively in a team-oriented accounting environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in construction, industrial facilities, infrastructure, or project-based environments.
- Familiarity with month-end close support and account analysis.
- Strong Excel skills for reconciliation, review, and reporting tasks.
