We are seeking a detail-oriented Jr Accountant for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Guaynabo, PR. This entry-level accounting role is ideal for a candidate with 1 to 2 years of experience who is ready to build a strong career foundation in accounting, finance, and business services.

The Jr Accountant will support daily financial transactions, account reconciliations, data entry, reporting, and record maintenance. Key Responsibilities

- Process incoming and outgoing accounting transactions accurately and in accordance with financial policies and procedures.
- Verify, sort, calculate, post, and record financial data for daily accounting activities.
- Assist with account reconciliations, including general and subsidiary bank accounts, by gathering and balancing information.
- Prepare invoices, bank deposits, financial reports, account updates, and special reports as requested by management.
- Review financial data to identify discrepancies, resolve transaction issues, and support timely payments and client communications.
- Maintain organized, confidential, and properly classified financial records while supporting database backups and compliance requirements.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay: $14.50 per hour.
- Employment type: Temp-to-hire.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Process and record accounts payable, accounts receivable, and related financial transactions.
- Reconcile ledgers and bank accounts to ensure accurate posting and complete transaction records.
- Prepare invoices, deposits, account reports, and financial status updates.
- Support compliance, record retention, confidentiality, and accounting control procedures.

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1 to 2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, finance, or related experience.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and financial procedures.
- Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy when working with numbers and financial records.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially spreadsheets.
- First-hand experience using spreadsheets and accounting software.
- Ability to calculate, post, review, and manage accounting figures accurately.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, organized, reliable, and able to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Customer service, follow-up, and negotiation skills to support client transaction needs.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow federal, state, and local financial requirements.
