Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Investor Relations Transfers Rep for a direct hire opportunity in New York, NY. This role supports an Alternatives and Private Markets investor servicing function with a primary focus on investor transfers, ownership changes, secondary transactions, and related operational controls.

This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented investor relations, transfer agency, fund administration, or private markets operations professional who enjoys working with sophisticated investors, fund administrators, legal counsel, compliance teams, investment managers, and internal operations partners. The ideal candidate is highly organized, client-focused, and experienced in managing complex investor transfer workflows for private equity, private credit, real estate, infrastructure, or other alternative investment products.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the end-to-end investor transfer process, including documentation review, approval coordination, status tracking, and timely completion of transfer activity.
- Partner with fund administrators, legal counsel, compliance, operations, fund managers, investors, and intermediaries to facilitate investor transfers and ownership changes.
- Review transfer agreements, subscription documents, KYC/AML materials, and fund governing documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Maintain accurate investor records across transfer agency and investor servicing platforms while monitoring service levels and priority requests.
- Identify opportunities to streamline manual processes, improve controls, enhance documentation, and strengthen the investor experience.
- Support broader investor servicing initiatives, regulatory projects, operational enhancements, and mentoring of junior team members.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $85,000 to $110,000 per year.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Manage investor transfer activity, secondary transactions, ownership changes, and investor recordkeeping processes.
- Coordinate transfer approvals and onboarding requirements with legal, compliance, fund administration, and operations teams.
- Serve as a key contact for investors, LPs, intermediaries, investment managers, and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures, and tracking tools to support accuracy and operational efficiency.

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 4 to 6+ years of experience in investor relations, transfer agency, fund administration, private markets operations, or a closely related function.
- Strong knowledge of alternative investment products, including private equity, private credit, real estate, infrastructure, or other private market strategies.
- Demonstrated experience with investor transfers, transfer documentation, subscription documents, fund governing documents, ownership changes, and investor servicing workflows.
- Familiarity with KYC/AML requirements and onboarding documentation related to investor transfers.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working with institutional investors and high-net-worth investors.
- Background supporting registered funds and private commingled funds.
- Knowledge of Publicly Traded Partnerships, PTP, is a plus.
- Experience with transfer agency, fund administration, investor servicing, or private markets servicing platforms.
- Strong understanding of the full investor transfer lifecycle, including quality control, shared mailbox management, LP communications, stakeholder follow-up, and completion tracking.
- Continuous improvement mindset with experience identifying automation, control enhancement, and process optimization opportunities.
- Collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence cross-functional partners and mentor junior team members.
