Job Summary

We are seeking an Inventory & Warehouse Flow Manager for a direct hire opportunity in Newbury Park, CA. This is a hands-on warehouse inventory leadership role supporting a high-volume clothing operation with more than 1 million units across multiple warehouse locations.

This role is ideal for an inventory leader who enjoys being on the floor, solving problems at the root cause, improving warehouse flow, and building accountability across teams. The Inventory & Warehouse Flow Manager will own inventory accuracy after receipt and will work closely with warehouse leadership, picking, packing, replenishment, returns, transfers, and other operational teams to ensure system inventory matches physical inventory.

Key Responsibilities

- Own inventory accuracy, location discipline, and inventory flow across multiple warehouse locations.
- Lead cycle counts, physical counts, location audits, movement audits, inventory investigations, and reconciliation activities.
- Review inventory movement history to confirm system transactions match the true physical flow of inventory.
- Investigate shortages, overages, incorrect locations, missing units, unexplained adjustments, and process breakdowns.
- Train, lead, and hold the inventory team accountable for count accuracy, movement control, escalation rules, and warehouse inventory standards.
- Partner with warehouse leadership to reduce unnecessary touches, improve pick flow, optimize storage locations, and correct root causes of inventory errors.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Manage inventory control across multiple warehouse locations and high-volume inventory environments.
- Lead cycle count programs, physical inventory counts, audits, reconciliations, and discrepancy investigations.
- Improve warehouse flow by optimizing pick locations, reserve locations, bulk storage, overflow areas, transfer areas, and non-pickable inventory.
- Train teams, enforce inventory procedures, and hold departments accountable when actions impact inventory accuracy.

- 3 to 5 years of relevant inventory management, warehouse operations, or distribution leadership experience.
- Experience managing inventory in multiple warehouses or large-scale warehouse operations.
- Strong background in apparel, clothing, consumer goods, e-commerce, wholesale, retail distribution, or high-SKU warehouse environments.
- Strong understanding of pick and pack operations, replenishment, storage, returns, transfers, and inventory movement control.
- Experience with cycle counts, physical counts, inventory audits, movement review, reconciliation, and root-cause analysis.
- Strong WMS, Excel, reporting, and inventory analysis skills.
- Experience operating or working around forklifts, pallet jacks, and warehouse machinery.
- Ability to identify process failures directly on the warehouse floor and take action to correct them.
- Strong communication, follow-up, urgency, and leadership skills.
- Ability to train staff, challenge poor processes, enforce standards, and drive consistent accountability across departments.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in a high-volume clothing, apparel, or fashion distribution environment.
- Experience supporting inventory control across 1 million or more units.
- Background improving warehouse layout, pick flow, replenishment strategy, and inventory location planning.
- Experience building or restructuring inventory teams, count programs, and accountability processes.
