Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Inventory Technician for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Waltham, MA. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented logistics, shipping, receiving, and inventory professional who enjoys hands-on work in a fast-paced manufacturing or warehouse environment.
The Inventory Technician will support inventory accuracy, domestic and international shipping, receiving, order picking, packaging, and documentation. This position offers a steady Monday through Friday schedule, the opportunity to become a long-term team member, and a work environment where organization, safety, teamwork, and customer service are valued.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage shipping, receiving, inventory accuracy, and proper material placement within designated locations.
- Pick, consolidate, package, and prepare customer orders accurately and safely for domestic and international shipment.
- Process shipments using shipping platforms such as UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager, DHL Easy Ship, and related systems.
- Generate shipping documentation, including airway bills, Shippers Export Declarations, and Shippers Letters of Instruction.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while supporting timely order fulfillment and quality service.
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers while prioritizing daily workload in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay Rate: $16 to $18 per hour.
- Job Type: Temp-to-Hire.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Location: Waltham, MA.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Support all shipping, receiving, material handling, and inventory control activities.
- Ensure materials are received, stored, picked, consolidated, and shipped accurately.
- Prepare domestic and international shipping documentation and process shipments through carrier software.
- Maintain inventory accuracy, safe handling practices, and an organized work area.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 2 years of related shipping experience preferred.
- 2 to 4 years of material handling experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum of 1 year of customer service related experience preferred.
- Experience using ERP systems.
- PC literacy with database entry skills.
- Experience packaging and shipping raw materials and finished goods in a timely and safe manner.
- Familiarity with packaging techniques for various materials and products.
- Knowledge of UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager, DHL Easy Ship, or similar shipping systems.
- Experience generating shipping documentation such as airway bills, Shippers Export Declarations, and Shippers Letters of Instruction.
- Ability to file in the U.S. Customs and Border Protection ACE system.
- Strong customer service skills and effective communication abilities.
- Strong attention to detail, punctuality, and a professional, upbeat attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a fast-paced team.
- Self-motivated with the flexibility to multitask, prioritize, and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing, logistics, warehouse, or inventory control environment.
- Prior experience supporting both domestic and international shipments.
- Familiarity with inventory accuracy practices, cycle counting, material flow, and shipping compliance.
- Experience working in a temp-to-hire or fast-paced production support environment.
