We are seeking an Inventory Specialist for a temp-to-hire opportunity in San Jose, CA. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with shipping, receiving, warehouse, or inventory control experience who enjoys hands-on work, accurate recordkeeping, and working with inventory systems.
As an Inventory Specialist, you will support receiving and inventory accuracy by manually counting small component boxes, updating inventory information in PCMRP, and helping maintain organized warehouse and stockroom operations. Key Responsibilities
- Receive, verify, and count incoming inventory, including small boxes of components weighing up to approximately 20 lbs.
- Perform manual inventory counts and ensure quantities are accurate before entering data into the system.
- Enter and update inventory information in PCMRP after training is provided.
- Use basic Excel functions to open files, cut and paste information, and create simple tables.
- Support general shipping, receiving, warehousing, and inventory control activities as needed.
- Maintain organized inventory records and communicate discrepancies or issues to the appropriate team members.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay range: $25.00 to $29.00 per hour.
- Job type: Temp-to-hire.
- Location: San Jose, CA.

- Support warehouse, shipping, receiving, and stockroom inventory processes.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and identify discrepancies.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant inventory, warehouse, shipping and receiving, or logistics experience preferred.
- Ability to lift small boxes of components weighing approximately 20 lbs.
- Basic Microsoft Excel skills, including opening files, cutting and pasting data, and creating simple tables.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when counting and entering inventory information.
- Comfortable learning inventory systems and following established procedures.
- Reliable, organized, and able to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with PCMRP or similar inventory, MRP, ERP, or warehouse management systems.
- Previous experience in an engineering services, manufacturing, electronics, components, or technical warehouse environment.
- Familiarity with receiving documentation, inventory reconciliation, and cycle count support.
