Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Specialist for a full time contract/temporary opportunity onsite in Lenexa, KS. This role is ideal for a dependable warehouse, shipping, receiving, or inventory control professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced production and operations environment where accuracy, organization, and teamwork matter every day.
As an Inventory Specialist, you will help keep the supply chain running smoothly by connecting hands-on material handling with accurate digital inventory tracking. You will inspect incoming deliveries, verify quantities, support cycle counts, prepare outbound shipments, and help maintain an organized stockroom.

Key Responsibilities
- Inspect incoming deliveries, verify material quantities against purchase orders, and reconcile packing slips for accurate receiving records.
- Perform routine cycle counts, audit stockroom locations, and update digital inventory systems to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Research and resolve inventory discrepancies quickly while supporting strong data integrity across warehouse operations.
- Pick, kit, package, label, and prepare outgoing shipments according to carrier requirements and bills of lading.
- Stage materials for daily distribution and support efficient movement of products throughout the facility.
- Operate standard material handling equipment safely and collaborate with team members to improve workflow, organization, and space utilization.

- Pay range: $20.00 to $22.00 per hour.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Manage receiving, inventory control, cycle counting, and stockroom accuracy activities.
- Prepare outbound shipments, including picking, kitting, packaging, labeling, and staging materials.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using digital systems, databases, or RF scanner technology.
- Support safe, organized, and efficient warehouse and production operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 to 2 years of consistent warehouse, shipping, receiving, inventory control, or logistics experience.
- Comfortable using digital inventory tracking software, databases, RF scanners, or related warehouse technology.
- Ability to verify counts, compare documentation, and identify discrepancies with strong attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage physical materials while maintaining accurate system records.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Commitment to safe work practices and maintaining a clean, organized warehouse environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with domestic shipping guidelines, bills of lading, and carrier documentation.
- Prior experience supporting production, manufacturing, or operations planning environments.
- Familiarity with workflow improvement, space optimization, or stockroom organization best practices.
