Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Inventory Manager for a direct hire opportunity in Newbury Park, CA with a high-volume clothing and textile manufacturing operation. This warehouse-based leadership role is responsible for full ownership of inventory control across multiple warehouse locations with more than 1 million units.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Inventory Manager who enjoys being on the warehouse floor, solving inventory challenges, improving processes, training teams, and creating strong operational discipline. The role offers high visibility with operations leadership and the ability to directly improve inventory accuracy, warehouse flow, location control, cycle count performance, and team accountability.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on, detail-oriented inventory leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-SKU environment and values structure, teamwork, follow-through, and measurable results. This environment is well suited for someone who wants to partner closely with warehouse leadership, strengthen procedures across departments, and help build a more accurate, efficient, and accountable inventory operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Own inventory accuracy across multiple warehouse locations, including active pick, reserve, bulk, overflow, transfer, and non-pickable inventory areas.
- Lead cycle counts, physical counts, location audits, movement audits, inventory reconciliation, and discrepancy investigations.
- Review inventory movement history to confirm system transactions match the true physical flow of inventory throughout the warehouse operation.
- Investigate shortages, overages, missing units, incorrect locations, unexplained adjustments, movement errors, and recurring process failures.
- Partner with warehouse leadership to correct root causes, improve inventory flow, reduce unnecessary touches, and strengthen location discipline.
- Build, train, lead, and hold the inventory team accountable for daily execution, count accuracy, system transactions, escalation procedures, and inventory standards.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: $100,000 to $120,000 per year, DOE

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Manage inventory control across multiple warehouse locations and high-volume inventory environments.
- Lead cycle count programs, physical counts, audits, inventory reconciliation, and root-cause investigations.
- Improve warehouse inventory flow, location control, replenishment accuracy, and movement discipline.
- Train inventory staff and partner with warehouse teams to enforce inventory procedures across departments.
- 6 to 10 years of relevant inventory, warehouse operations, or distribution experience.
- Experience managing inventory across multiple warehouses or large-scale warehouse operations.
- Strong knowledge of cycle counts, physical counts, inventory audits, reconciliation, movement review, and discrepancy investigation.
- Experience in apparel, clothing, consumer goods, e-commerce, wholesale, retail distribution, or high-SKU warehouse operations.
- Strong understanding of pick and pack operations, replenishment, storage, transfers, returns, location control, and inventory flow.
- Experience operating or working around forklifts, pallet jacks, and warehouse machinery.
- Strong WMS, Excel, reporting, and inventory analysis skills.
- Ability to identify process failures directly on the warehouse floor and drive corrective action.
- Proven ability to train teams, enforce inventory procedures, challenge poor processes, and hold departments accountable.
- Strong communication, urgency, follow-through, leadership discipline, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience in clothing, apparel, textile, or fashion-related warehouse operations.
- Experience supporting warehouse layout improvements, slotting changes, pick flow optimization, and labor reduction initiatives.
- Experience leading inventory teams across multiple buildings or facilities.
- Background working in fast-moving e-commerce, retail distribution, or high-SKU environments with frequent daily inventory movement.
