The Inventory Control Analyst is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring system inventory aligns with physical stock within the warehouse. This role manages daily cycle count activities, investigates and reconciles inventory discrepancies, and performs authorized system adjustments to maintain data integrity within the internal system. The Inventory Control Analyst analyzes variances related to receiving, put-away, picking, and shipping processes to identify root causes and implement corrective actions. Additionally, the role monitors inventory trends, tracks key performance metrics, and prepares inventory reports to support operational decision-making. Working closely with receiving, shipping, and administrative teams, the Inventory Control Analyst communicates inventory risks, supports daily operational huddles with status updates, and recommends process improvements that enhance inventory accuracy and warehouse efficiency.
Success in this role is demonstrated through high inventory accuracy, timely resolution of discrepancies, reliable reporting, and proactive collaboration across warehouse operations.
