Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and assigned insurance accounts while identifying client needs and recommending appropriate coverage solutions.
- Prepare and present insurance quotes, sell policies, support renewals, reinstatements, cancellations, and maintain accurate account records.
- Collaborate with underwriters and insurance carriers to negotiate policy terms, secure coverage, and support client service goals.
- Oversee insurance payments, follow up on overdue balances, and assist with DMV-related service processing.
- Review insurance contracts, prepare regulatory or statistical reports, and stay current on industry regulations and compliance requirements.
- Provide guidance to team members and support training on insurance products, services, and best practices.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay range: $27 to $40 per hour.
- Job type: Direct hire.
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Maintain and service insurance accounts across personal lines, commercial, health, and life insurance.
- Prepare insurance quotes, present coverage options, and sell policies based on client needs.
- Manage renewals, cancellations, reinstatements, payments, records, and regulatory reporting.
- Support insurance portfolio growth through client service, carrier collaboration, and consultative recommendations.
- Minimum of 2 years of insurance sales and service experience, including commercial, health, and DMV-related services.
- Valid California Life and Health insurance license required.
- Must maintain valid Life, Personal Lines, Commercial, and Health insurance licenses.
- High school diploma required.
- Previous sales experience in personal lines, commercial insurance, or life insurance.
- Knowledge of DMV-related services and applicable credentials, if required.
- Strong understanding of insurance products, coverages, contracts, risk management practices, and client needs analysis.
- Ability to research problems, identify opportunities, recommend solutions, and manage projects independently.
- Strong communication, negotiation, customer service, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency with insurance software and industry-specific tools.
- Strong math skills, including calculations and financial analysis concepts related to risk, probability, statistics, and resource management.
- Ability to prepare professional written correspondence, business cases, reports, and presentations.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Working understanding of credit union loan operations, banking operations, regulatory compliance, and overall financial services operations.
- Proven track record in insurance sales, client management, and relationship development.
- Experience mentoring or guiding junior insurance specialists.
- Experience conducting staff training on insurance products and services.
