Job Summary

We are seeking an Insurance Specialist for a direct hire opportunity in Greenville, SC. This role supports insurance-related client service, case management, information processing, and compliance activities within a professional financial services environment.

The Insurance Specialist serves as a key liaison between clients, advisors, network office partners, and home office teams. This is a strong opportunity for a detail-oriented insurance professional who enjoys client communication, administrative accuracy, follow-up ownership, and supporting the full insurance service cycle.

Out-of-state candidates who are willing to relocate will be considered.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain client case files, review case notes, process correspondence, and digitally file insurance statements, applications, and related documents.
- Communicate directly with clients regarding service needs, forms, payment issues, address or banking changes, loan requests, and other insurance service matters.
- Monitor daily status reports, follow up on outstanding items, expedite underwriting requirements, and prepare policies for delivery.
- Complete and review insurance applications, conversions, policy changes, and related documentation for accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate medical, paramedical, and underwriting exam requirements as needed.
- Support advisors with non-securities insurance sales cycle activities, including illustrations, reporting, conservation efforts, and eligible benefit or conversion opportunities.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Support insurance client service, case management, application processing, and policy documentation.
- Monitor underwriting requirements, follow-up activity, and daily insurance status reporting.
- Communicate with clients regarding service requests, forms, payments, changes, and policy-related questions.
- Prepare insurance illustrations, applications, conversions, policy changes, and delivery materials.

- Active Health and Life license required.
- Associate Financial Representative contract required within 90 days of employment.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience preferred, including administrative support, customer service, insurance, or financial services experience.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, data entry ability, and comfort using information retrieval systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional client service approach.
- Strong organizational skills, time management ability, and capacity to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- High attention to detail with the ability to work accurately with confidential client information.
- Proactive work style with the ability to identify next steps and take appropriate action.
- Ability to adapt to change, work in a fast-paced environment, and contribute both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience supporting insurance products, annuities, underwriting workflows, policy service, or financial advisor teams.
- Familiarity with insurance applications, policy changes, term conversions, APB, FIB, and conservation of existing insurance business.
- Interest in continuous learning and expanding knowledge within insurance and financial services operations.
