Job Title: Insurance Defense Attorney
Location: Jacksonville, Florida — must be in-office (no remote or hybrid)
Salary Range :based on experience

Job Summary
We are seeking an Insurance Defense Attorney to join our team. This fully on-site role offers flexible hours, a business-casual environment, and supports candidates from entry level through experienced attorneys

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct legal research across a variety of insurance-defense matters
Draft legal documents including letters, memos, motions, orders, pleadings, and court filings
Assist senior attorneys in preparing for hearings, mediations, and proceedings
Maintain organized case files, track deadlines, and ensure compliance with court and firm requirements
Collaborate with team members, clients, opposing counsel, and court staff as needed Manage workload efficiently in a fast-paced litigation environment

Required Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Active membership in the Florida Bar, or be Florida-Bar eligible (e.g., took July 2025 exam)
Strong written and verbal communication skills; excellent legal research and writing ability
High level of organization, attention to detail, and accuracy in casework and documentation
Willingness to learn, work collaboratively, and be fully onsite five days per week

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Experience:

Some prior experience in civil litigation or insurance defense
Familiarity with litigation procedures, court filing systems, and case management software
