We are seeking an experienced Injection Molding Operator for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Bristol, RI. This role is ideal for a hands-on manufacturing professional with strong experience in injection molding, thermoplastic processing, mold setup, robotics operation, and basic machine maintenance.
The Injection Molding Operator will support daily molding department operations in a fast-paced production environment focused on safety, quality, teamwork, and reliable output. Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate injection molding machines according to production schedules, work instructions, and specifications.
- Perform mold setups, thermoplastic processing, heat treating, curing operations, and related production tasks.
- Operate robotics, auxiliary equipment, tumblers, packaging machines, and other molding department equipment.
- Monitor machine settings such as temperature, pressure, and cycle time, and report or assist with troubleshooting issues.
- Perform quality inspections, complete inspection plans, maintain accurate production reports, and document work clearly.
- Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, 5S standards, FOD practices, and workplace cleanliness expectations.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay range: $19 to $22 per hour.
- Job type: Temp-to-hire.
- Contract length: 3-month contract-to-hire opportunity, with possible extension.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM.
- Location: Bristol, RI 02809.
- Set up and operate injection molding machines for scheduled production runs.
- Perform mold setup, thermoplastic processing, heat treating, and curing operations.
- Monitor machine performance, complete quality checks, and maintain accurate production documentation.
- Support basic equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and safe daily operation.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- 3-5+ years of experience in injection molding, thermoplastic processing, mold setup, basic machine maintenance, and robotics operation.
- Experience operating injection molding machines, robotics, auxiliary equipment, tumblers, and packaging machines.
- Forklift experience required.
- Ability to monitor and adjust to production variables including temperature, pressure, and cycle time.
- Strong attention to detail, quality awareness, and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while supporting production goals.
- Ability to complete paperwork accurately, clearly, and legibly.
- Ability to maintain strong attendance and meet production schedules.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Commitment to safety, PPE compliance, workplace cleanliness, FOD standards, and 5S practices.
