Seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist II to join a growing Information Technology team. This role is a key contributor to maintaining and enhancing technology environments, and ensuring seamless day-to-day operations. The IT Support Specialist II is responsible for analyzing requirements, resolving technical issues, handling escalations from Level 1 support, recommending improvements, and deploying hardware and software solutions. This mid-level position requires a self-sufficient, adaptable professional who can work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating closely with IT, Information Security, and external managed service providers. In this role, you will provide both onsite and remote support for a wide range of technologies, including workstations, servers, printers, networks, VoIP systems, and peripherals such as receipt printers and signature pads, as well as vendor-specific hardware and software. As the primary point of contact for IT and networking requests, you will work with agility, strong customer service skills, and a commitment to problem-solving. You will also interface with operations and engineering teams to coordinate and escalate issues, serving as a critical liaison between Level 1 and Level 3 support. Key responsibilities include responding to escalated support requests, performing hardware and software installations, updates, and upgrades, collaborating with IT leadership on projects, mentoring junior staff, and maintaining IT documentation and workflows. You will also identify recurring issues, recommend proactive solutions, conduct user training sessions, and ensure timely escalation of unresolved issues to minimize downtime. Strong communication skills are essential for providing updates to end-users and fostering collaboration across departments. The ideal candidate will have at least six years of hands-on experience in PC and network troubleshooting, repair, and cabling, along with a degree in Computer Technology or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Two or more current certifications (such as A+, Network+, CCNA, MCSA, MCP, or Microsoft Endpoint Administrator Associate) are preferred. Proficiency in supporting Windows 10/11, Server 2016/2019, Office 2019, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Exchange, networking protocols, and virtual environments is expected, as well as advanced knowledge of networking technologies including firewalls, LAN/WAN, wireless, VPN, and VLANs. Strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and excellent interpersonal skills are essential. Reliable transportation and occasional travel to various locations are required.
