Job Title: IT Specialist / Help Desk
Location: Hayward
Experience: 2+ years preferred
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused IT Specialist to provide technical support and ensure smooth IT operations. You will be the first point of contact for troubleshooting hardware, software, network, and mobile device issues, working closely with external IT consultants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support via phone, email, and chat
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues
- Track and document support tickets and resolutions
- Assist with system maintenance, updates, and backups
- Support hardware/software deployment and user onboarding
- Provide user training and IT best practices
- Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years in help desk or technical support
- 2+ years of server administration experience
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Office 365, networking, and VoIP
- Familiarity with help desk/ticketing systems and remote tools
- Certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, MCP) are a plus
