We are seeking an experienced IT Consultant for a direct hire opportunity in Santa Barbara, CA. This role is ideal for a senior-level IT professional who enjoys leading infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, and technology transformation initiatives in a collaborative, business-focused environment.
The IT Consultant will partner with leadership, technical teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders to evaluate current technology environments, recommend strategic improvements, and deliver secure, scalable, and cost-effective IT solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate IT infrastructure, systems, networks, and operational processes to identify risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
- Design, implement, and optimize enterprise technology solutions across cloud, infrastructure, virtualization, cybersecurity, and systems environments.
- Lead cloud migrations, infrastructure upgrades, system implementations, and broader technology transformation projects.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting, technical escalation support, and guidance to internal teams and business stakeholders.
- Develop IT policies, procedures, technical documentation, cybersecurity best practices, and executive-level recommendations.
- Manage vendor relationships, third-party providers, contracts, and technology service delivery expectations.
Compensation and Benefits
- Direct hire opportunity.
- Salary range: $100,000 to $130,000 per year.
- Location: Santa Barbara, CA.
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and close-related schedules.
- Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable accounting activities.
- Assist with financial reporting, variance analysis, audit support, and accounting process improvements.
- 1 to 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a Staff Accountant, Accountant, AP, AR, or general ledger support role.
- Working knowledge of month-end close, account reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and supporting documentation.
- Familiarity with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, including invoice coding, payment posting, vendor reconciliations, and customer account support.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and follow-through.
- Ability to work collaboratively with accounting, finance, AP, AR, and cross-functional business teams.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem solving and process improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with corporate credit card reconciliations and expense documentation.
- Exposure to budget-to-actual reporting, variance analysis, or audit support.
- Experience working in a professional corporate accounting environment.
- Comfortable learning new accounting systems, reporting tools, and internal processes.
