A growing organization in the automotive manufacturing and distribution space is seeking a Hybrid Senior Financial Analyst to join its finance team in Costa Mesa, CA. In this role, you will support forecasting, operational finance, executive reporting, margin analysis, and budget ownership across cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and improve dynamic financial models for forecasting, variance analysis, product line performance, and operational budgeting.
- Develop executive-level reporting packages, KPI dashboards, and business performance summaries using advanced Excel and BI tools.
- Manage and analyze multi-million dollar operational and project budgets to improve cost visibility, reporting accuracy, and resource allocation.
- Partner with product, operations, and leadership teams to review financial performance, identify trends, and support margin improvement initiatives.
- Analyze customer, product, and operational data to uncover growth opportunities, cost savings, and profitability drivers.
- Streamline reporting processes, automate recurring finance workflows, and support improvements to internal financial tools and controls.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Build multi-year forecasting models, variance models, and product line financial analysis.
- Own operational and project-level budgets, including spend analysis and resource allocation.
- Create executive reporting suites, KPI dashboards, and concise financial performance presentations.
- Partner with operations, product, and leadership teams to support profitability, margin growth, and cost savings.
- 5 to 6 or more years of progressive experience in corporate FP&A, financial analysis, or operational finance.
- Experience working within large, billion-dollar or multi-billion-dollar organizations.
- Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling, forecasting, variance analysis, and data analysis.
- Strong proficiency with BI and dashboarding tools such as Qlik Sense, Power BI, or Tableau.
- Experience supporting manufacturing, distribution, logistics, or related operational environments.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, analyze financial trends, and communicate key business drivers.
- Strong business partnership skills with the ability to collaborate with product managers, operations leaders, and senior leadership.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, including the ability to translate complex financial data into executive-ready insights.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the automotive, automotive parts, manufacturing, or distribution industry.
- Hands-on experience improving financial reporting automation, dashboard design, or finance process optimization.
- Background supporting product contribution margin analysis, customer trend reporting, or operational profitability initiatives.
- Experience preparing executive decks and financial recommendations for senior leadership audiences.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $90,000 to $105,000 per year, with role details indicating a target range of $100,000 to $105,000 per year.
- Employment type: Direct hire.
- Work arrangement: Hybrid schedule based in Costa Mesa, CA, with 2 days in office and 3 days remote.
