We are seeking a detail-oriented Human Resources Specialist to support core HR functions, including onboarding, payroll processing, workers’ compensation administration, and HR systems management. This role serves as a key administrative resource for employees and leadership and requires strong organization, accuracy, and customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities

-Maintain and update the HRIS system and ensure employee records are accurate and compliant
-Process employee status changes including new hires, terminations, and payroll-related updates
-Serve as the primary point of contact for HRIS questions, timesheets, performance reviews, and reporting
-Manage onboarding for new hires, students, volunteers, and contractors, including scheduling
-Administer bi-monthly payroll and timesheets, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies
-Process garnishments and prepare payroll reports as needed
-Track employee licensure and compliance documentation
-Manage workers’ compensation claims and related reporting
-Respond to HR policy, payroll, and employment verification requests

Qualifications

-Minimum of 3 years of HR or administrative experience
-Working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws
-Experience with HRIS and payroll systems
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office and virtual meeting platforms
-Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills
-Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
-Positive, service-oriented approach and strong interpersonal skills
