Position Overview


Join our dynamic team as a Human Resources Generalist, where you will play a pivotal role in supporting a non-profit organization dedicated to health and diverse equity. This one-year, limited-term position offers a strong possibility of converting to a regular role based on funding and performance. Located in Sacramento, this hybrid role allows you to work in-office from Tuesday to Thursday and remotely on Monday and Friday.


Key Responsibilities

• Leave of Absence Administration: Manage all leave programs, including FMLA, CFRA, ADA, and military leave, ensuring compliance and providing compassionate guidance to employees.

• Benefits Administration: Coordinate employer-sponsored benefit programs and manage the annual open enrollment process.

• Health, Safety, and Workers’ Compensation: Lead Workers’ Compensation claims administration and maintain health and safety plans.

• Employee Relations and General HR Support: Serve as a resource for employees, support employee relations, and assist with onboarding and offboarding processes.


Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

• 4-6 years of progressive HR experience, particularly in California leave programs.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to manage sensitive information.

• Proficiency in HRIS systems, Microsoft Office, and applicant tracking systems.
