We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Coordinator to join a government organization in Valley Center, CA! The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of HR processes, require minimal training, and be able to manage a wide range of HR administrative functions with accuracy and professionalism. This position offers the opportunity to transition to a permanent role with excellent benefits.

Responsibilities
Serve as the first point of contact for employees and visitors, delivering professional and courteous customer service.
Manage day-to-day HR administrative functions, including onboarding, personnel actions, and compliance documentation.
Accurately complete and process I-9 forms, including verifying nonstandard acceptable documents.
Process personnel actions such as promotions, reclassifications, and employment status changes.
Maintain and update employee records in accordance with confidentiality, organizational, and legal standards.
Assist with FMLA paperwork and eligibility tracking, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
Support benefits coordination, enrollment, and related employee communications.
Provide administrative support for scheduling, correspondence, and HR office operations.

Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required in the U.S.
2+ years of experience providing HR administrative support, including onboarding and personnel action processing.
Working knowledge of I-9 verification requirements, personnel documentation, and FMLA basics.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer service mindset.
