AppleOne has partnered with a busy manufacture to assist them in hiring a bilingual English and Spanish Human Resource Generalist to join their team!

Job Title: Human Resource Generalist
Reports to: Human Resource Director
Location: Fontana, CA (100% onsite)
Schedule: Full time – 40 hours per week
Pay Range: $30-$34 per hour DOE

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Assisting employees with general questions/ concerns.
• Process employee shift, department, title changes in connect system.
• Constant monitoring of reports to ensure data is accurate and up to date.
• Process employee termination of employment in Connect system and complete proper documentation.
• Constant communication with Supervisor and Managers regarding any employee updates.
• Update new hire, temporary assignment, and termination report daily
• Coordinate employee events, service awards and retirements.
• Host benefits meetings
• Assist employees with benefit information or questions and enrollment completion.
• Online I-9 document verification via HireRight
• Audit and communicate VISA expirations.
• Process conversions and initiate employee onboarding through company systems.
• Work with HRBP to collect data and source documents when responding to legal claims, lawsuits, and subpoenas.
• Assist with company time & attendance system (audit timecards, reclassify absences, etc.).
• Orientation of newly hired employees.
• Complete employment verifications as needed
• Daily communication with the temporary agencies to coordinate incoming temporary employees.
• Sort, file, and report incoming employee paperwork.
• New hire/ termination paperwork.
• Garnishments, Employment verifications, EDD and Equifax claims.
• Process all paperwork for Subpoena received for a Sierra employee.
• Support Safety Manager with requested job description and WC Checklist.
• Constant communication with leave of absence employees (LOA) and Supervisors.
• Update Leave of Absence report, follow and update report as necessary.
• Assist HRBP and HR Manager on Audits as requested.
• Other responsibilities as directed by the HR Director.

Qualifications
• 3-5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources
• SHRM and/or PHR Certificate is a plus
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish
• Knowledge of various employment laws and practices.
• Experience in administration of benefits, investigations, LOA, and other HR programs.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, HMC-Oracle, Time and Attendance, E-Verify, and Badging systems are used daily)
• Able to exhibit a high level of confidentiality.
• Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
