A well-established client is seeking to hire an HR Generalist to join their East Bay location. This is an organization that is passionate about their mission, their work and the services they provide to the community. As an HR Generalist you will be responsible for the following but not limited to:
-Manage the background check process and check employee eligibility verifications
-Implement new hire orientations as well as establish employee recognition programs
-Perform employee onboarding, offboarding as well as assist with benefits, leaves and compensation reviews
-Review and conduct disciplinary matters in accordance with company policies
-Handle employee related inquiries, applicants, employees and supervisors
-Manage HR audits, employee files, PTO balances, licenses, and certifications
-Handles confidential files, documents
-Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices.
-Develops, implements, and maintains HR policies and practices to maintain compliance.
-Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

-Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems. Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now preferred.
-A bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field is required.
-At least 5 years of human resource experience preferred.
