The Participant Advocate role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with one to two years of experience in caregiving or social-services settings preferred. Candidates should have a strong understanding of homelessness, community resources, and Housing First principles, along with the ability to work compassionately with individuals facing substance use, behavioral-health challenges, and trauma. Strong written and verbal communication, conflict-resolution, and problem-solving skills are essential, as well as proficiency with Microsoft 365 and accurate data entry, including use of the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS). Applicants must be able to maintain professional boundaries, model healthy behaviors, and operate effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure environments. Candidates must pass a DOJ background check prior to employment. Bilingual English/Spanish ability is preferred but not required. This is a GRAVEYARD SHIFT Tues-Thurs 10:00 pm to 6:00 am and Fri and Sat 12:00 midnight to 8 am.
