Help Desk Engineer II
Pay: $30–$35/hr DOE
Schedule: Full-time (40 hrs/week) | OT as needed

Role Summary:

The Help Desk Engineer II provides onsite Level 2 technical support for city employees across multiple departments. This role handles hands-on troubleshooting, escalations, and daily IT operations while working closely with a remote team of Level 3 engineers.

Responsibilities:

Onsite end-user support (Windows 11, printers, peripherals)

Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint)

User setup, terminations, MFA & access issues (AD / Entra ID)

Basic networking support (LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN)

Ticket documentation, asset tracking, and client communication

Assist with onsite projects and hardware refreshes

Requirements:

3–5 years IT support experience (MSP or public sector preferred)

Strong troubleshooting skills in:
-Windows OS
-Microsoft 365 administration
-Active Directory / Entra ID
-Basic networking
-Experience supporting printers, VoIP phones, and shared devices

Preferred:

Experience supporting municipal or government clients

Familiarity with MSP tools (RMM, ticketing, documentation platforms)

Exposure to security tools such as MFA, email security, or SIEM alerts

CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft certifications, or equivalent experience
