We are hiring a Bilingual Healthcare Language Services Specialist to support Spanish/English language access, patient services, and compliance operations in a managed care healthcare environment.

Ideal candidates hold a Tier II Bilingual Spanish/English certification, a Bachelor’s degree, and at least 2 consecutive years of healthcare or managed care experience supporting professional translation and interpretation services.
This role is perfect for detail-oriented professionals passionate about health equity, cultural competency, and patient advocacy.

Required Qualifications:
All candidates must meet every requirement below:
Bachelor’s degree in health, social services, liberal arts, or a related field
Minimum of 2 consecutive years of experience in a healthcare or managed care setting involving professional translation and interpretation services
Tier II Bilingual Spanish/English certification (verbal and written) – Required
High School Diploma or GED (documentation required)
Typing speed of 30 words per minute or higher
Strong organizational and time-management skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Proficiency with:
CRM systems
Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Electronic document management and scanning systems
Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish
Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally

Cultural & Language Access Services
Assess member cultural and linguistic needs to ensure equitable healthcare access
Coordinate professional translation and interpretation services, including:
Vendor scheduling and communication
Quality assurance and service tracking
Support vendor management related to language services
Assist with development and review of multilingual educational materials
Support staff and provider training on:
Cultural competency
Language access standards
Ensure compliance with state and federal language access regulations
Participate in community outreach activities and health program events
Prepare compliance reports, documentation, and project materials
Serve as a language access resource for internal departments

Patient Services & Administrative Support
Open, date-stamp, sort, and distribute incoming mail
Manage returned mail, address corrections, and re-mailing
Answer inbound calls and place outbound calls professionally
Document member and provider interactions accurately in CRM systems
Draft routine correspondence, reports, and confidential documents
Maintain, scan, retrieve, and securely purge electronic and physical files
Track department inventories and documentation logs
Operate office equipment, including copiers, scanners, fax machines, and multi-line phone systems
Assist management and cross-functional teams with special projects
Adhere to HIPAA, confidentiality, and all company policies
