About the Role:
A growing healthcare organization in Shreveport is seeking a Healthcare Claims & Data Specialist to support its medical insurance operations. This role is ideal for someone with strong clerical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of medical terminology and insurance processes. Key Responsibilities:
Enter patient and insurance data into electronic health record (EHR) systems with precision
Review and verify insurance claims and documentation for accuracy and completeness
Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and protect patient confidentiality
Communicate with medical staff to clarify insurance-related information
Assist with scanning, filing, and organizing medical and insurance documents
Support data tracking and reporting as needed
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of clerical or data entry experience in a healthcare or medical office setting
Typing speed of 7,000+ keystrokes per hour with high accuracy
Familiarity with medical terminology and EHR systems
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
