We are seeking an entry-level Hand Presser - Clay for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Lincoln, CA. This hands-on manufacturing role is ideal for someone who enjoys detailed work, working with their hands, and learning a skilled production process.
In this position, you will help create terra cotta pieces by pressing clay into molds, checking quality, and ensuring each piece is shaped and finished properly. Training is provided, making this a great opportunity for candidates who are reliable, detail-oriented, and interested in building long-term skills in a production environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Hand press clay into molds to produce terra cotta pieces according to production standards.
- Turn and handle molds properly after pressing is complete.
- Check clay for proper consistency, thickness, and overall quality.
- Inspect molds to ensure there are no air pockets or defects.
- Assemble molds, smooth finishes, and support proper drying of completed pieces.
- Follow oral and written instructions while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced production environment.
- Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, pottery, ceramics, mold work, or other hands-on production work is helpful but not required.
- Interest in learning a skilled craft or production process.
- Hand press clay into molds with careful attention to detail.
- Verify clay consistency, thickness, and mold quality during production.
- Assemble molds and smooth finished pieces to meet quality expectations.
- Support efficient production of multiple terra cotta pieces in a fast-paced environment.
- Entry-level candidates are welcome.
- Less than 1 year of experience required.
- Ability to work with clay by hand using precise detail.
- Basic reading and writing skills required.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to maintain quality while working efficiently.
- Comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing or production environment.
- Willingness to complete on-the-job training and learn essential duties.
Preferred Qualifications
