A company in Cypress, CA is seeking a HYBRID Accounting Manager for a direct hire opportunity. This hands-on leadership role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys developing teams, improving processes, and taking ownership of key accounting operations.
The Accounting Manager will lead AP, AR, and Accounting team members while overseeing reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting. This is a strong opportunity for a collaborative leader who wants visibility, stability, and the ability to make a meaningful impact within a professional business services environment. Controller-level candidates will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Accounting teams.
- Oversee month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and close schedules.
- Manage financial reporting processes and ensure accurate, timely reporting.
- Review and improve accounting procedures, internal controls, and workflow efficiencies.
- Partner with leadership and cross-functional teams to support accounting operations and business needs.
- Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and applicable financial reporting standards.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $100,000 to $150,000 per year.
- Job type: Direct hire.

- Support process improvement and accounting operations.

- 6 to 10 years of accounting experience.
- Prior accounting management experience with oversight of AP, AR, and general accounting functions.
- Strong knowledge of month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting.
- Hands-on leadership style with the ability to guide, train, and develop accounting staff.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment and communicate effectively with internal teams and leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
- Controller-level experience or readiness to operate at a senior accounting leadership level.
- Experience in a business services environment.
- Demonstrated success improving accounting processes, controls, and team performance.
