**Location:** Richmond, VA Area
**Schedule:** Full-Time | On-Call Rotation Required

We are seeking an experienced **HVAC Technician** to support the operation, maintenance, and repair of commercial building systems across a portfolio of properties. This role is responsible for ensuring mechanical systems operate efficiently, coordinating with vendors and contractors, and delivering excellent service to tenants and internal stakeholders.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled HVAC professional who enjoys a mix of hands-on technical work, troubleshooting, and project coordination within a commercial environment.

### Key Responsibilities

* Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on HVAC and mechanical systems
* Coordinate and oversee outside contractors during preventive maintenance and repair projects
* Conduct mechanical inspections, identify deficiencies, and recommend corrective actions
* Monitor work orders and ensure timely completion of mechanical service requests
* Investigate recurring HVAC issues and develop long-term solutions
* Maintain accurate service records, documentation, and reporting
* Support maintenance teams, property management, and construction teams with technical guidance
* Assist with mechanical system upgrades, improvements, and budgeting recommendations
* Review project plans and tenant improvement drawings related to mechanical systems
* Provide training and support to internal teams regarding HVAC and energy management systems

### Qualifications

* Valid driver’s license required
* Strong customer service and communication skills
* Knowledge of Energy Management Systems (EMS) strongly preferred
* Refrigerant Recovery Certification (CFC/EPA) required
* Ability to respond to after-hours, weekend, and holiday emergency calls as needed

### Education & Experience

* Technical training from an accredited institution **or** equivalent hands-on mechanical training
* Minimum **5 years of HVAC service experience** in one or more of the following:

* Commercial HVAC
* Industrial HVAC

---

### Work Environment & Physical Requirements

* Work may involve exposure to mechanical equipment, airborne particles, and varying weather conditions
* Comfortable working on rooftops, ladders, and in mechanical spaces
* Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
* Frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, and working with arms overhead
