Seeking a seasoned HVAC Technician in Raleigh, NC
Reports to HVAC/Building Systems Manager
The HVAC Technician is responsible for the operation, maintenance, repair, and updating of HVAC systems in assigned buildings. This role includes supervising outside contractors, conducting inspections, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and providing training on Energy Management Systems. The Technician acts as a professional representative to tenants, vendors, and the public while collaborating closely with internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate mechanical contractors during maintenance and projects
Conduct inspections, develop corrective action plans, and report to management
Perform minor repairs and respond to maintenance inquiries
Monitor recurring tenant HVAC issues and develop solutions
Maintain accurate records and assist with budget proposals
Review tenant fit-up drawings and provide mechanical expertise
Requirements:
Valid driver’s license and Refrigerant Recovery Certification (CFC)
Strong customer service skills and knowledge of Energy Management Systems
Availability for emergency calls outside regular hours
Minimum 2 years technical education or 5 years HVAC experience in industrial or commercial settings
Work Environment:
Exposure to mechanical parts, outdoor weather conditions, loud noise, and working at heights such as rooftops and ladders.
