We are seeking a detail-oriented HR Risk & Safety Administrator for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Santa Barbara, CA with a growing organization in the food and beverage production industry. The HR Risk & Safety Administrator will play a highly visible role in helping create a safe, compliant, and employee-focused workplace. Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate and support company-wide safety programs, workplace inspections, safety observations, and risk assessments.
- Organize OSHA and Safety Committee meetings while helping ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations.
- Respond to workplace injuries, vehicle incidents, and equipment-related accidents, including documentation and investigation support.
- Maintain accurate safety, incident, claims, and compliance records while coordinating with employees, managers, and insurance carriers.
- Administer driver safety programs, vehicle compliance requirements, emergency preparedness activities, and safety training programs.
- Support employee education, awareness initiatives, first-aid supply monitoring, and other HR risk management projects.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay: Starting $28 per hour depending on experience.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Coordinate workplace safety programs, OSHA/Safety Committee activities, and compliance-related initiatives.
- Support accident investigations, incident reporting, workers’ compensation coordination, and risk management documentation.
- Administer safety training, emergency preparedness programs, driver safety requirements, and workplace prevention plans.
- Partner with employees, managers, insurance carriers, and leadership to support a safe and compliant work environment.

- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Health and Safety, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in HR, safety, compliance, risk management, operations administration, or a related function.
- Strong administrative, organizational, documentation, and recordkeeping skills.
- Experience using HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
- Strong communication, customer service, follow-up, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing, production, or operations environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience supporting workers’ compensation, incident reporting, accident investigations, or claims administration.
- Knowledge of DOT compliance, driver safety programs, fleet safety administration, or vehicle compliance requirements.
- Experience coordinating CPR/First Aid training, evacuation drills, workplace violence prevention, or emergency action plans.
- Background in food and beverage production, manufacturing, distribution, or another safety-sensitive operations environment.
