Job Summary

A growing food and beverage production environment in Santa Barbara, CA is seeking an HR Risk & Leave Administrator for an immediate temp-to-hire opportunity. This role is ideal for an organized HR professional who enjoys supporting employees, maintaining compliance, coordinating leave processes, and contributing to workplace safety.

The HR Risk & Leave Administrator will work closely with employees, supervisors, HR, payroll, benefits partners, insurance carriers, and outside vendors to ensure accurate documentation, timely communication, and compliant processes. Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate workplace injury, vehicle accident, and equipment accident reporting while maintaining accurate and timely documentation.
- Support accident and incident investigations, identify potential causes, and help recommend opportunities to reduce workplace injuries and safety concerns.
- Administer employee leaves of absence, including workers’ compensation, FMLA, CFRA, and other leave programs.
- Communicate with employees, supervisors, HR, benefits, payroll, medical providers, insurance carriers, and vendors to support compliant leave and return-to-work processes.
- Maintain confidential HR, safety, accident, and leave records while monitoring payroll and employee status updates.
- Coordinate OSHA/OSH Committee meetings, support safety initiatives, and assist with HR operations and special projects.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay: $28 to $31 per hour.
- Position Type: Temp-to-Hire.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Manage risk administration related to workplace injuries, vehicle accidents, equipment accidents, and incident documentation.
- Administer and track employee leaves of absence, including documentation, timelines, benefits coordination, and return-to-work processes.
- Partner with HR, payroll, benefits, supervisors, medical providers, insurance carriers, and vendors to support compliant employee processes.
- Support HR operations, OSHA/OSH committee coordination, safety programs, and special projects.

- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- Familiarity with Human Resources Information Systems, HRIS.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong understanding of confidentiality, employee service, documentation accuracy, and compliance-focused HR administration.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work effectively with employees, supervisors, internal departments, and external partners.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
