We’re looking for a detail-oriented and organized Entry-Level HR & Payroll Coordinator to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with numbers, managing data, and supporting employees throughout their lifecycle. You’ll play a key part in accurate payroll processing, maintaining HR records, supporting recruitment, and helping with onboarding/offboarding activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll (Primary):
Collect and verify timesheets, including overtime, PTO, and leaves
Enter payroll changes such as new hires, terminations, pay rate updates, deductions, and garnishments
Process regular and off-cycle payrolls, reconcile pre- and post-payroll reports
Maintain payroll records and respond to employee pay and tax inquiries
HR Administration:
Maintain personnel files and ensure data integrity in the HRIS system
Ensure I-9/E-Verify completion and proper retention of documentation
Support onboarding and offboarding processes (checklists, account setups, equipment distribution, orientations)
Track PTO/leave balances and assist with benefits enrollment and changes
Prepare basic HR reports (headcount, PTO, turnover) and assist with audits
Recruiting Support:
Screen resumes and coordinate interview schedules
Handle candidate communications
Conduct background and reference checks according to policy
General Administration:
Monitor and respond to inquiries in the HR inbox
Maintain compliance postings, update rosters, and manage vendor paperwork
Qualifications:
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Comfortable working with spreadsheets and databases
Experience with payroll processing and HRIS preferred
Bilingual in Chinese and English is a plus but not required
Strong communication skills and ability to handle confidential information
