HR Manager – AmLaw 200 Law Firm Experience REQUIRED

Location:** Miami, FL or Orlando, FL (Onsite, 5 days/week — no hybrid/remote)
Salary: $100,000–$110,000

A prestigious AmLaw 200 firm is seeking a high-performing HR Manager to join its team in either Miami or Orlando. This role is ideal for an HR Specialist or HR Generalist currently working in a major law firm who is ready for the next step into management.


What You’ll Do:

Manage the full professional-staff recruiting lifecycle: job postings, screening, interviews, background checks, offer preparation, and onboarding.
Source candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter and innovative recruitment strategies.
Administer employee benefits including medical, dental, vision, retirement, pension, HSA/FSA, commuter benefits, and Section 125 plans.
Provide payroll processing support and serve as back-up.
Oversee employee leaves including FMLA, Military Leave, STD/LTD, and firm-specific policies.
Manage Workers’ Compensation claims and follow-up.
Coordinate the attorney and professional staff evaluation and compensation/bonus processes.
Lead RFPs for insurance brokers, HRIS/Payroll platforms, and other HR vendors.
Serve as **HRIS Administrator**, providing user support and troubleshooting issues.
Create, revise, and maintain job descriptions.
Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws.
Maintain expertise in HR best practices, trends, and regulatory changes.
Handle special projects delegated by the Director of HR.
Always represent the firm with professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity.

Requirements

MUST have law firm experience — specifically from an AmLaw 200 or comparable large, structured firm.
MUST be SHRM certified(SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP).
Bachelor’s degree REQUIRED.
Minimum 3+ years of HR experience in a professional services or law firm setting.
Strong experience in benefits administration.
Comfort working 100% onsite; no remote/hybrid available.
Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities.
Ability to bring “best practices” gained from larger, sophisticated HR environments.
