HR Generalist (Temp-to-Hire)

?? Part-time (20–25 hrs/week) to start OR Full-time (M–F, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM)
We are seeking a detail-oriented and adaptable HR Generalist to support a dynamic HR team in Irvine, CA. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with flexibility to start part-time and transition into a full-time role. The ideal candidate will bring strong payroll experience, a solid understanding of HR processes, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Process bi-weekly payroll (Paylocity experience a plus, but not required)
Perform payroll audits and ensure accuracy and compliance
Manage employee onboarding and offboarding, including documentation
Maintain employee records and HRIS systems
Provide day-to-day HR administrative support
Assist with recruiting coordination and hiring process logistics
Support staffing operations and handle multiple priorities efficiently
Qualifications:
3+ years of payroll processing experience
Prior HR Generalist experience required
Experience with HRIS systems
Working knowledge of basic HR laws and regulations
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to support multiple managers and adapt quickly
This role supports two HR Managers, so strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively are essential.
